VIDEO:HOUSE OF ALLEGED DAVAO DEATH SQUAD MEMBER EDGAR MATOBATO,VISITED BY DAVAO POLICE
After the appearance of the self -proclaimed member of the alleged Davao Death Squad of Davao City,Edgar Matobato as a "witness",stating the alleged involvement of the Davao City police force in "extra-judicial killings" in the area,the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) headed by Police Superintendent Michael John Dubria, with retired intelligence officer Jun Apostol,they visited the house where Matobato stayed from 2010 to 2013 to conduct a preliminary background check on Matobato.
"....I just want to be enlightened,what's his reason why he implicated Davao City police officers sa kanilang mga activities before.If there is one person that would answer sa mga killings sa Davao City...siya yon," Dubria said.
The house is located at the middle of the swamp accessible through a makeshift pathway made out of joined pieces of wooden planks.It is a two-storey house made of light materials and he lived there for three years and eventually sold the house to raise money for his bail.
During his stay,Matobato has a bad reputation.According to his neighbors,Matobato is troublesome and boastful.He usually roam around the village carrying a gun when he got drunk threatening everyone.
"Puro kasinungalingan ang sinasabi niya kasi kung totoo talaga siyang tirador bakit hindi niya tinira si Verbo nung binugbog siya ni Verbo?",a villager said telling that they know Matobato differently from what he is portraying himself during the senate hearing.
Even Senator Panfilo Lacson found his statements unreliable especially about a certain international terrorist named "Sali Makdum" whom according to Matobato was killed by them but the person turned out to be non-existent when the senator tried to look up informations about him in Google.
