Filipina caregiver Rose Fostanes is the first season winner of X Factor Israel!
During the live finale show on Tuesday, Rose Fostanes performed Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Way” which she received standing ovation from the audience and the judges.
“Thank you for giving me the chance to be in the X Factor Israel,” the 47-year-old overseas Filipino worker said. In second, was Eden Ben Zaken (Girls category), and third was Ori Shakiv (Boys category).
Fostanes, who is originally from Taguig, Philippines, came to Israel four years ago, and has been working for more than 20 years in the Middle East. She had always wanted to be a professional singer and the X-Factor gave her a shot at her dream.
She has been compared to the Scottish singer Susan Boyle, 52, who shot to fame in 2009 after appearing on the TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” and performing a powerful rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical “Les Miserables”.
