There are a lot of good entries and blogs but I zeroed on Deconstructing Dubai because I like the overall feel of the blog. The lay-out is simple and clean. Though minimalist in design, the blog has an artful feel to it. One positive point is the white background (underneath the text), simple header, and no-fuss font used. His blog is like a diary that has light and easy-to-read entries. The blogger writes well and has a good command of the English language. His PEBA entry is insightful. Judge 2

What They're Saying about PEBA 2010
- Dahn Jacob Garcia, Top 1 OFW Blogger, Animus, Salmiya Kuwait
"Mama got excited for the awards night, and went to Narda's for her PhP 4k Igorot dress. Incidentally, there were two Igorot awardees in the top 10 (#2 and #3)."
"Looking now at these photos, I realized the easiest part was for me to write the entry, the fulfillment is mama saying she's proud and happy to be part of the awards night, and the real winners are the people behind PEBA for putting the event through. These winners are working from all corners of the globe and all corners of the Philippines -- unpaid, and just strongly driven by their passion to make a difference for the OFW bloggers."
- Beverly Beswilen- Castro, Top 2 OFW Blogger, Grimliness, Dubai, UAE
"To all who took the time to read, comment and vote for my entry "Outside Looking In," for the 3rd PEBA Blog Awards, I am happy, honored and humbled to announce that WE made Top 3 and that WE also got the Outstanding Blog By Region: Central America and Canada. This win is for my sister, Shiela, who also represented and received the award on my behalf. Sis, this is for you. You lived the tale, I only wrote your story." My sincerest thanks to the hardworking PEBA Family! More power to you! More power to all the OFWs and their families! Congratulations to all the nominees!
Kayni, Top 3 OFW Blogger, Kayni Corner's Cafe, Washington, DC

And lastly, for choosing us as No. 4 among the Top 10 Outstanding Blogs: OFW Category. Congratulations to all the winners. This was my very first major award and I wish to dedicate it to our Lord, Jesus Christ."

Pinoy Expats/OFW Blog (PEBA) Awards 2010 WINNERS
TOP 10 OUTSTANDING BLOGS
OFW BLOGGERS CATEGORY
Top 1 - ANIMUS, Kuwait
"a very inspiring story that leads to positive realization of what lies ahead,
the sacrifices and strength of OFWs" - Judge 1
"short but heartfelt post drawing from the author’s personal experience."
- Judge 3
"Beautiful in its sincerity and simplicity." - Judge 5
"I like his use of a metaphor. He writes about the stark realities of OFW life but remain hopeful of the future. " - Judge 7
"Magandang pagkalahad ng kwento ng isang anak. " - Judge 8
Top 2 - GREMLINESS, Dubai, UAE
"I was really inspired by what the Gremlin blogged about redefining the OFW. It's a must read." - Judge 2
“Redefining the OFW” offers a different perspective in attacking the theme. The writer focused on having the whole family together abroad and seeing the countries just as how we see the provinces in the Philippines, in terms of traversing from one province to another." - Judge 3
Top 3 - KAYNI'S CORNER CAFE, U.S.A.
"The author presented a different perspective looking into the plight of OFWs from an "outsider's" point of view. The essay attempts to be persuasive by presenting steps to be taken by OFWs to avoid the problems that often arises in the lives of people working abroad." - Judge 3
"Her entry is well-structured and very relevant. I liked it that she broke the piece into themes. I would have wanted to know more about the impact on the children especially when the marriage broke apart, and the coping mechanisms of her sister." - Judge 6
"The writer outlined clearly the things that could strengthen an OFW family. The story merits strength in that it is the personal story of the writer and he clearly tells how he and his family worked together towards being united not only in physical terms but also in aspirations."
Top 5 - ¡SOY NEGRENSE!, Saudi Arabia
"The author took time to cite some common stories of OFWs, presenting both the profits and perils of working abroad and ultimately persuading fellow OFWs to take the necessary steps to keep being on the right track."
Top 6 - JOURNEY OF A PRODIGAL DAUGHTER, Macau
"Beautifully written, moving metaphor about umbilical cords and a touching rendition of how an OFW feels when sick and away from home. Bravo!" - Judge 6
Top 7 - GUMAMELA SA PARAISO, Taiwan
"I enjoyed the photos and her writing in the vernacular makes the account more heartfelt. I wish she had embodied more about the relationship between her employer and hersef in the uppermost part of her blog entry, just to improve flow and coherence." - Judge 6
Top 8 - DECONSTRUCTING DUBAI, Dubai, UAE
"This entry works on so many levels. Setting aside grammar, I am impressed with the writer's choice of words - i.e. "My family is sonless in me." Hopefully ,the writer continues to practice writing and read more books so that the technical aspects of writing can be improved. Certainly, he has great potential." - Judge 6

We pray for your understanding: Official Statement on the Photo Contest
The Photo Contest winners were suddenly not announced in the event because the would be organizer of the Jan 2011 National PEBA Photo Exhibit begged to halt announcing the winner because it would preempt a nationally intended photo exhibit of the PEBA Photo Contest 2010.
Gusto po namin ipabatid sa inyo na ang mga photos ay isasalang sa National Exhibit sa Baguio, Iloilo, Cebu at Davao - simultaneously. The Photo Contest Winners would highlight the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibit which will be held in one of the largest malls in the Philippines. We do accept, however, that due to sudden developments, the PEBA 2010 organizer have failed to announce this to the winners because it was too late especially that we have already requested you to be at the event, due to the pressure, the excitement and non-anticipated development, we have not announced it on the stage, we accept our lapses on this matter and this we pray that you will forgive us of our shortcoming - naway mapatawad nyo ang PEBA 2010 organizer, sakop po kami ng mga pagkakamaling maaring magawa ng isang tao.
Please accept our sincerest apology for the failure to communicate the development but PEBA 2010 has been only advised as well today. We hope that this does not decrease your faith in us, we were trying to make this event more beneficial to the cause of the OFWs and there is no intention to forget the photo contest winners but we do accept that we should have made announcement on this regard but to the pressure and time constraint brought by short notice of this decision, we were unable to communicate the development.
Mabuhay po kayo. Patawad po, patawad po.
