What could be more satisfying than to hug, kiss and touch your loved ones? Seeing your family’s joyful smile and feeling their warm skin against yours is just beyond words. Hearing their hearty laughs as you all share your wonderful stories would just instantly fill the years that were spent away from each other. We, balikbayans, surely know what it feels like to finally get a hold of our priceless possessions, our family.
It is not easy to be away… nor is it easy to give up time and opportunities that you should have had with the ones closest to you just for the promise of a better future… of a better life. We all have our share of stories.
